Frequently asked questions

Research use, testing, orders and handling. If your question is not here, our team will answer it directly.

Research use

What does "for research use only" mean?

Research Use Only (RUO) means a product is supplied solely for laboratory research: in-vitro experiments, analytical work and method development. RUO materials are not drugs, foods, cosmetics or supplements and are not for human consumption.

Do you sell syringes or needles?

No. RWP Laboratories does not sell or supply syringes or needles, and none are included with any order. We sell sealed vials of research compounds and a research-only diluting liquid, each with its batch documentation.

Do you provide usage instructions?

No. We publish chemical identity, specifications, storage conditions and batch documentation only, and our team answers questions about those topics only.

Why can't I see pricing?

Pricing and ordering are available only to approved research accounts. Request access to view pricing and confirm the research declaration. Once your account is approved, prices, the cart and checkout unlock whenever you sign in.

Who can buy from you?

Approved research accounts only. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, complete the research declaration and agree to our Research Use Policy, confirming that materials will be used only for lawful laboratory research. We may decline applications and cancel orders that indicate any other intended use.

Are these products legal to purchase?

Research chemicals are lawful to purchase for legitimate laboratory research in many jurisdictions, but regulations vary by country and state, and some compounds are restricted in some places. Buyers are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to them.

Quality & testing

Do you provide certificates of analysis?

Yes. Every batch is tested before release, and its certificate of analysis (COA) is published in our COA Library, so you can review results before you order.

How are your peptides tested?

Purity is measured by reverse-phase HPLC with UV detection, and identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry against the theoretical molecular weight. Testing is performed by an independent third-party laboratory. See our quality standards for the full release process.

What purity do you guarantee?

Our release specification for peptides is a purity of ≥99% by HPLC unless a product page states otherwise. The exact measured purity for each lot is printed on its COA.

What is the salt form of your peptides?

Peptides made by solid-phase synthesis are isolated as salts, most commonly acetate or trifluoroacetate (TFA). The counter-ion for each lot is listed on its COA. Note that the salt contributes to the gross weight of the powder.

Orders & shipping

How fast do orders ship?

We always do our best to ship orders the day they are placed or the next business day. During very busy periods a surplus of orders can push that back by a day or more. All shipments are tracked. See our Shipping Policy for carriers and timelines.

How are products packed?

Vials ship sealed and individually protected, so they arrive intact. Lyophilized peptides ship dry at ambient temperature.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the United States. Contact us about international research orders; availability depends on the destination's import rules.

Can I return a product?

Because of their nature, opened or used research materials cannot be returned. If an order arrives damaged, incorrect or with a broken seal, contact us within 7 days with photos and we will replace it. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Do you offer bulk or institutional pricing?

Yes. Volume pricing starts at 10 units. Request a quote on our Wholesale page.

Storage & handling

How should lyophilized peptides be stored?

Store sealed vials refrigerated at 2 to 8 °C (36 to 46 °F), protected from light and moisture, as printed on every RWP label. For long-term storage, freeze at −20 °C. Allow a vial to reach room temperature before opening it to prevent condensation. Our storage guide covers this in detail.
